Referring to Mrs. Meza and to other nominees, the President declared, "I am grateful these accomplished men and women have agreed to join this Administration, and I'm confident they will serve ably in these important roles. I look forward to working with them in the months and years ahead." Meza, by electing a new Treasurer and collecting over $25,000 toward the 2008 Primary debt, among other business.May 17, 2011 CEC Elects Choco Meza as County Chair The County Executive Committee (CEC) of the Bexar County Democratic Party elected Choco Meza as County Chair, by a roll call vote of 106-0 with 2 abstentions. Ms. Meza, currently a Democratic National Committee member, has been actively involved in politics for many years, including service as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Relations in the US Department of Housing and Urban Development under former San Antonio Mayor Henry Cisneros.May 3, 2011 CEC Votes to Remove County Chair Dan Ramos The County Executive Committee (CEC) of the Bexar County Democratic Party voted to approve the recommendation of the Trial Committee to remove County Chair Dan Ramos, by a roll call vote of 104-5.
